Renewable Energy Council

The Sectoral Council for Competences in the Renewable Energy Sector (RES) is an initiative aimed at supporting the development of professional competences necessary for the effective functioning of the sector. The Council serves an advisory and coordinating role, bringing together the interests of entrepreneurs, educational institutions, public administration, and industry organizations.

The main goal of the project is to identify key competences and qualifications required in the RES sector, support the adaptation of the education and vocational training system to the needs of the labor market, promote good practices and innovative solutions in workforce development, cooperate with enterprises to increase training and employment efficiency, and monitor market and regulatory changes affecting competence development in the sector.

The Sectoral Council for Competences in the Renewable Energy Sector consists of representatives of key stakeholder groups, including representatives of companies from the RES sector, employers and industry organizations, educational and training institutions, research and development units, public administration representatives, as well as non-governmental and expert organizations involved in energy and labor market issues.

The Council’s activities and tasks focus on analyzing and forecasting competence needs in the RES sector, developing recommendations for qualifications and training programs, organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences for sector stakeholders, cooperating with educational institutions to modernize curricula, preparing reports and publications on competences in the RES sector, and promoting innovative teaching methods such as practical training and e-learning.

The project for organizing and running the Sectoral Council for Competences in the Renewable Energy Sector will contribute to better alignment of employee competences with sector needs, improving the quality of vocational and academic education, increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in the RES industry, facilitating employers’ access to qualified personnel, developing innovative forms of learning and upskilling, and supporting the energy transition through human resource development.

The Sectoral Council for Competences in the Renewable Energy Sector plays a key role in shaping competence policy in the dynamically developing renewable energy sector. Its activities contribute to strengthening human capital and improving the efficiency of the entire sector. Cooperation among various stakeholders ensures that educational offerings are effectively aligned with labor market requirements, which forms the foundation for further sustainable development of renewable energy in Poland.
