Innovations and Technologies in Renewable Energy

The renewable energy sector is one of the most dynamic and innovative areas of the modern economy. Technological progress is crucial for improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of renewables in the energy mix, and enhancing the competitiveness of Polish companies in domestic and international markets. The Renewable Energy Sector Development Council supports the development of innovative technological solutions by creating conditions for cooperation between science, industry, and administration, as well as actively promoting best practices, prototypes, pilot projects, and technology transfer. Our activities include:
  • Identification and promotion of breakthrough technologies in renewable energy. We monitor global trends and support the implementation of innovations in photovoltaics, wind energy, energy storage, biogas, hydrogen, marine energy, and other areas.
  • Supporting scientific research and development (R&D). We initiate cooperation between universities, research institutions, and companies to develop and commercialize new solutions.
  • Creating conditions for testing and implementing innovations. We promote the living labs model and support pilot and demonstration projects in real environments.
  • Popularizing innovative business models in renewable energy. We support new forms of renewable energy use such as energy communities, prosumers, and flexible energy grids.
  • Actions aimed at digitizing the energy sector. We promote the integration of renewable energy technologies with digital tools: IoT, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and energy management systems.
  • Connecting innovators with investors and public funds. We facilitate access to financing for startups and companies implementing new technologies in the renewable energy sector.
We want Poland to become a leader in innovative energy solutions in the region. Our goal is to develop a renewable energy sector based on knowledge, technology, and cooperation — a sector that is not only ecological but also profitable, competitive, and ready for the future.
