Responsibilities of the Sectoral Council on Competences in Renewable Energy
Gathering data from economic operators to enable the systematic identification of qualification and occupational needs of the labor market in the renewable energy sector
Promoting awareness of the current skills and occupational needs of the renewable energy sector among key stakeholders
Initiating and fostering collaboration between enterprises, universities, and institutions of the education system to ensure effective integration of educational processes with labor market demands
Developing recommendations for the strategic alignment of workforce resources with the current and projected needs of enterprises in the renewable energy sector

Activities of the Sectoral Skills Council for Renewable Energy:
Collecting knowledge from enterprises
Consultations and survey research were conducted among representatives of companies in the renewable energy sector to gather up-to-date information on required qualifications, competences, and workforce gaps. The collected data served as a basis for further analysis and strategic actions
Preparing recommendations regarding competences and qualifications
Based on the collected data, a set of recommendations was prepared regarding the directions of workforce development. The recommendations identified areas requiring urgent educational support and defined preferred forms of education and professional training
Disseminating data on skills shortages to educational stakeholders
The results of the analyses and the conclusions drawn were shared with educational institutions, industry organizations, and decision-makers to enable them to adjust educational offerings in line with the actual needs of the renewable energy sector
Identifying proposals for organizational and legislative measures
Systemic barriers in the areas of education and the labor market were analyzed, followed by the development of structural and regulatory change proposals aimed at more effectively aligning the education system with the needs of the industry
Initiating intersectoral collaboration
Actions were initiated to integrate educational environments with representatives of the renewable energy industry. A space for dialogue was created—among others, through organizing workshops, expert panels, and working meetings
Creation of the Sectoral Qualifications Framework
Based on labor market analyses and discussions with experts and entrepreneurs, the need was identified to develop a Sectoral Qualifications Framework (SQF) for the renewable energy sector — a document that organizes qualifications and facilitates their recognition and development
Carrying out actions in compliance with the Education Act
Initiatives supporting the implementation of the goals set forth in the law were introduced, particularly those concerning the integration of formal education with labor market needs and cooperation with the authorities managing educational institutions
Establishment of a monitoring and progress reporting system
A mechanism for periodic reporting of the Council’s activities was established, including indicators of effectiveness, progress in implementing recommendations, and identification of new challenges. These reports are made available to partners and cooperating institutions
